My First (“Real”) Lightsaber
Produced by: Ultrasabers
I feel a disturbance in the Force. As if a million nerds cried out with tremendous envy. I fear something terrible has happened.
This beauty of a lightsaber came in the mail today. A sound-equipped Shock LE with fire-orange blade. I plan on wearing/wielding it with my Jedi costume at Tekkoshocon. I’ve only had it for a few hours now and I’m absolutely in love with it.
The worksmanship of the hilt is second-to-none. It looks like it was grabbed off the set of one of the Star Wars movies. Not only is the saber very bright (both on camera and in-person) and sturdy, but it sounds absolutely awesome. I was able to replace the default sound font on the saber with my own, giving it a quite growl when I swing it. And! When it hits something, it flashes red for a brief moment before going back to it’s epic orange color. I feel like I’m 10 again.
In short, it’s pretty cool to look at but it’s even cooler to wield. I’m definitely satisfied with this purchase and am looking forward to getting more in the future.
